Panama's Tourist Institute (IPAT) along with several business
establishments, sponsored Panama's first symposium on naturopathy,
a system of therapy that relies exclusively on natural remedies.
The event was held at the ATLAPA Convention Center on the 18th
and 19th of January with workshops on the 20th and 24th.
An attendance of approximately 150 persons varied from medical
professionals to housewives. Speakers were from Colombia, Cuba,
Chile, Spain, France, Italy, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru
and Panama.
The symposium was organized to reach out to specialists in the
field of holistic health care and alternative medicine to exchange
experiences and introduce natural products for the knowledge and
benefit of our community.
