On March 18 the Balboa Union Church got a new Spiritual Regent,
Mildred Reitz. The retired principal of the Pan-American Institute and widow of the late Rev. Walter Reitz, she is a graduate of Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky and has a master's degree in education from the University of Georgia. She also took courses in social anthropology, theology, Christian education and theology from the Asbury Theological Seminary. The Balboa Union Church, which was founded in 1914 to serve a union of several Canal Zone Protestant groups, now ministers to a multidenominational and multinational English-speaking congregation.
