The vendors at this year's patriotic parades found the crowds as big as ever, but somewhat tighter with their money. People were buying raspaduras, sodas, meat on a stick and other offerings, but they weren't lining up to do so. The slow business along Panama City's parade routes came amidst mixed signals about the country's near-term economic prospects.
