This is supposed to be dry season, which means baseball season, peak tourism season and school vacation according to the Panamanian academic calendar. We didn't get out to cover any sports stories this issue, which doesn't at all mean that nothing is going on.
From the popular participation perspective, the main sports have to do with our two oceans, and for those the tides are important. On the Atlantic sides the tides are slight, but still important for fishing. On the Pacific the difference between high and low tides can be 18 feet, and are thus important to plan your day on the boat or at the beach.
Check out the tide tables before planning your outing.
