Panamanians call dry season "verano" --- summer --- which is of course at the opposite time of the year from the time North Americans call summer. Here in Panama's tropical conditions, some trees bloom, some produce fruit and others shed their leaves in dry season; while other species will go through these processes in the rainy season.
