Carrasco celebrates Claudel

La Compañia Marta Carrasco, a renowned contemporary dance troupe from Barcelona, will be performing Blanco de Sombra, a choreographic memoir of Camille Claudel, the brilliant French sculptor who was also the lover of her even more famous colleague Auguste Rodin, at the Teatro Nacional on April 20. The show is presented by the Asociacion Cultural AlterArte, which in the past few years has become an important force on the Panamanian cultural scene. Lead dancer and troupe leader Marta Carrasco's appearance is co-sponsored by the Spanish and French embassies, INAC and the University of Panama's University Cinema Experimental Group (GECU).
