"LAURA," the third production of the 2001-2002 Theatre Guild of Ancon season is a three-act mystery and a sharp-toothed comedy set in a fashionable 1940’s New York apartment. During the course of a murder investigation, a detective falls in love with the victim, only to find that there is more to this case than meets the eye. This venemous melodrama, which was written 65 years ago by Vera Caspary and inspired a great Hollywood movie by the same name, mixes Freud with homicide into a deliciously entertaining tale.

"LAURA" debuted at the Guild in the first season 52 years ago, with Stanley Fidanque in the leading role. We hope you will join us May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 when a new generation of Guild veterans will revive this wonderful 1940’s classic. Don’t you dare miss this!
