Four Corners is Colon's big traffic headache these days, but it will get better. There should have been an overpass built several years ago to allow the railroad to get by without disrupting traffic. However, after the PRD lost the 1999 elections, a petulant Ernesto Pérez Balladares made sure that the money that had been set aside for this project was spent on something else. The Moscoso administration ineptly added to the delay, so now the freight trains are starting to run, overpass construction is underway, and traffic is nightmarish. Photo by Eric Jackson
