The United States is at war with Al Qaeda and this Fourth of July the US State Department warned Americans living abroad to avoid conspicuous gatherings that might present tempting targets for terrorist attacks. However, at the behest of the Navy League and the Pedro Miguel Boat Club many members of Panama's American community gathered in Pedro Miguel for an Independence Day picnic.
