Retired businessman Juan Manuel Handal, right, recently donated his "talking book" tape collection to Panama's principal public library, the Biblioteca Nacional. The donation included 330 English-language books, 93 Spanish-language books, a special tape recorder that allows recorded books that use the system employed by Spain's Asociacion de Ciegos de España to be transferred onto formats that are used in Panama, and a supply of blank tapes.
