Is Osama bin Laden still at large? Will Panama's English-language press go daily?

You made the comment that Bin Laden is alive and issuing orders. YOU DON'T KNOW THAT. It is reported by the reporter for the Arabic news station that interviewed the recently captured terrorist before he was caught that one of the terrorists actually referred to Bin Laden in the past tense, then corrected himself.

An English-language daily?
I work for the Consulate of Panama in New Orleans. I have found your webpage, thepanamanews.com, to be very helpful in keeping the Consul General and his office up to date on events and news from Panama. I am interested though in your help in finding another source for Panama news that can be accessed daily. If you would be able to help me locate an English-language news report that is released daily, reporting Panamanian news please let me know.

Editor's note: It has been a long time since a private-sector daily English-language news publication has existed in Panama. We don't know of any English-language news summary that appears on a daily basis and is available to the general public, but if past practices continue, the US Southern Command, the US Department of State and probably the US Central Intelligence Agency do produce daily English-language Panamanian news summaries for their own uses. The Hotel Bristol publishes a daily Spanish-language summary, which is available through the Carta de Panamá, to which you can subscribe by making a email request to c-panama@lacarta.info .
