Lessons in Assertiveness

Dear Dr. Mutt,
I'm in favor of being affectionately demonstrative, but there are limits to what should be reserved bor the privacy of the doghouse. Today my master and I were on our usual afternoon stroll in the park, when lo and behold as we rounded the bend, two young mutts were making out by the lake. My master, bless him, just laughed; but I was so embarrassed, I didn't know where to turn. What's the world coming to when our youth are so unabashedly loose and disdainful of the proper social morés?
Shocked in Shreveport
Dear Shocked,
You hit the nail on the head with LOOSE. Obviously, these young mutts are foot-loose and fancy-free. They have no guidance. Their masters, if they have any, seem unconcerned for their welfare. But you shouldn't be shocked at their decorum. It's a dog's life, and they will learn quickly enough the ways of the world.
