Playing in Penonome

We made it to Penonome's Aquatic Carnival for Carnival Saturday. The sun was fierce, but there were shady spots and there was plenty of water in which to splash around.

There were also lots of kids who made it their business to make sure that nobody went away dry...

 

... and enough cops to make sure that things didn't get out of hand.

 

The meat on a stick vendors did well on this day.

 

It was largely a family affair...

 

... with overtones of traditional Interior culture...

 

... and the usual Carnival culecos.
