Panama City's traffic lights are home to an informal economy that supports
a lot of people who have to get by in a society that doesn't have much
of a social welfare system. In addition to the usual vendors, the traffic
light scene even has a professional sports sector of sorts --- like
this acrobat who rides a unicycle, juggles and panhandles all at the
same time. Photo by Eric Jackson
