The end of an ordeal

US Army Specialist Shoshana Johnson, a Panama native who still has family here, gets ready to head home after being released by her Iraqi captors and found by her American comrades-in-arms. Johnson, who was captured along with six other Americans in an ambush as the war began, suffered gunshot wounds to her feet and was paraded in front of TV cameras in violation of international law. Now she's back in Texas recovering from the experience. Photo courtesy of the US Embassy
