At The Panama News we from time to time get emails from potential tourists who want us to describe our island. Panama, of course, is an isthmus, the narrowest part of the mainland of the Americas. But off of both of our coasts and in Gatun Lake, we also have our share of islands, many as beautiful as this one. Odds are that as the Survivor show that was recently videotaped in the Perlas Islands begins to be broadcast in North America in September, more and more of our neighbors from the north will be coming here to experience such little corners of Paradise. If you are one such neighbor who has never visited us before, come on down, check your preconceived notions at the door, enjoy rather than destroy, and you just may find the place of your dreams.
