Cataracts aren't waterfalls!
Dear Dr. Mutt,
I've got a major problem. It happened suddenly. One day I was strolling along happy as a pup taking in the sights, and the next thing I know, I can't see where I'm going! Now it's like I live in a cave. I hear things, but all I see are blurry gray circles. What has happened to me? My buddies say I may need glasses. Can dogs wear glasses? Please help me. Will I ever see again?
Dear Sightless,
Your situation has a name. It's a feline disease called CATARACTS, which are not waterfalls! Unfortunately the only cure is surgery. And even more unfortunately, humans are the only ones who can perform this surgery so everything depends on your master. If he wants you to see again and has the money, he will spring for the operation. If not, keep your ears clean, develop your hearing and don't catch a cold because life without sight can be very dark indeed. Meantime, keep bumping into things to get your master's attention. If worse comes to worst, you may be able to get your master to be a seeing eye human.
PS. Yes, dogs can wear glasses, but they have to be special order; and if you have the surgery, you won't need them.
