The burning question of the moment: Will the Germans sort out the rumored problems and have their popular beer stand again this year?

It's something that needs to be sorted out by September 26, when the diplomatic women's "Fiesta Alrededor del Mundo" fair takes place at the ATLAPA convention center. It's a benefit for the Caravan of Social Assistance, which, among other things, buys toys for needy kids who otherwise wouldn't get much for Christmas.

There will be food, beverages and gifts for sale at booths run by the representatives of various nations, plus entertainment and door prizes.

(Hmmmm --- will there be truth in labeling? Will the mango cookies be represented as American, Panamanian or Australian?)

These events are always fun, the international food selection is always amazing, and the money goes to a good cause.
