Photos of Portobelo by a foreign visitor with a good eye. This little town on the coast of Colon province was once the commercial center of the Spanish Main and thus a tempting prize for pirates. It will shortly see its annual influx of visitors for the October 21 Festival of the Black Christ, and because this is Panama's centennial year the event promises to be bigger than ever.
