Special account for Girl Scouts' new roof

Panama's Girl Scouts set up special roof fund
Panama's Girl Scout movement, the Asociacion de Muchachas Guias de Panama, needs a new roof for its headquarters building on Calle 1ra in Panama City's Perejil neighborhood. The flooding through the roof will abate for the next few months of dry season and the termites may be at least temporarily held in check, but the timbers continue to rot away, the tiles continue to crumble and repeated roof patches over several years have reached the point of diminishing returns.
Girl Scout headquarters is also an important little center for Panama's English-speaking community, as it also houses the offices of the Teachers of English as a Second Language (TESOL) and The Panama News, and on Saturday afternoons the Society of Friends of the Afro-Antillean Museum of Panama holds its quadrille dancing classes in the large downstairs room.
The Girl Scouts have set up a special account at the Caja de Ahorros --- the state-run savings bank that most charitable organizations use for such fundraising drives --- to collect money for the new roof project and nothing else. You can directly deposit money into this account at any Caja de Ahorros branch, or by check in the mail or wire transfer. The name and number of the account is:
Asociación de Muchachas Guias de Panamá
