At the finish line...

photos by Eric Jackson

This year, cayuco racing events mostly coincided with production weekends for The Panama News, so the Canal Record's Panama reporter and bochinche columnist Art Mokray scooped this reporter all year long. Nevertheless, this paper managed to be represented at the finish line in Diablo.

Here comes the Rio Teta, captained by Stevie Bodden. They won the female category.

Chava, above, look so blurry because they are moving so fast. They smashed the old record and won the male category in a time of 5:09.06. Sudden Impact won the open class (5:15.52) and Gibtion took the co-ed race (5:49:25).
