We topped the old record for visits to this website in one month in May, almost certainly due to interest in the election results. (See the yellow bars in the upper right-hand graph, and the figure 37,692.) The previous record was set in the centennial month, November of last year. In that month we attracted slightly more visitors per day, but November has 30 days and May has 31. Notice that while we didn't break April's records for hits or pages, in addition to the surge in visitors we set new records for files, kilobytes and sites. If experience is any guide, readership will drop for June and edge up slightly in July and August, then go way back up in September.
