Panama's a tropical paradise, and thus a good place to grow orchids --- both those indigenous to the isthmus and exotic varieties. Some good places to go and enjoy the orchids are the garden at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's Tupper Center in Ancon, where this photo was taken, and the El Nispero gardens/zoo/nursery in El Valle.
