Dear Dr. Mutt,

I’m really a Nobody from Nowhere. I don’t know who my dad was, and my mom is definitely not upper crust, if you get my drift; but she inspired me to make something of myself. The other day I was selected for the Canine Olympics, and I can’t tell you what that did to my ego. However, now the problems begin. As a Nobody, I had no friends. Now, all of a sudden, I have more friends than ticks. How can I tell who my TRUE friends are?

Friends are more than ticks. Friends are treasures, and you can tell the ticks from true friends only by giving them the Sticky Tick Test. If they fall off because they can’t get any fatter when times are bad, they’re ticks. If they stick by you through thick and thin, they’re true friends. Canines are known for their “stickiness” so hopefully you will find many true friends. Take heart and go for the gold.
