Dear Dr. Mutt,

My job description says that I work 24/7. But this is caninely impossible. How can anybody work round the clock, seven days a week? Granted, on slow days I do doze a bit, but most of the time I am on alert. What can I do? I'm hoarse; I'm tired, and I'm sleepy.

You are one of the many who have succumbed to the motto: I live to work. To change things, all you have to do is change your motto. You could make it something more reasonable like I work to live, or My work is my life, or No work, no bones. The thing is that you have to focus on HOW you want to live your life. I'm sure your Master does not work a 24/7 schedule and does not expect his employees to do so either. So get a grip on things. Learn to relax.
