Second annual American Fair, January 22
at the US Ambassador's Residence

The American Embassy, having held a successful American Fair on the grounds of the US ambassador's residence in La Cresta last January, will be holding another such event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on January 22, 2005. At that event, not only Americans but other isthmian residents with roots elsewhere the English-speaking world --- including members of the Panamanian English-speaking community --- took part. Most of the American community's various institutions here had information tables, and will again.

There may be special registration or identification requirements for security reasons, and if we hear of them we will post that information in a future issue.

Organizations that have been invited to have tables include American Citizen Services, American Chamber of Commerce, American Legion, American Society of Panama, Artguilders Association, Association of the US Army, ANCON, Audubon Society, Balboa Academy, Balboa Union Church, Balboa Yacht Club, Ballbangers Tennis Club, Elks, Boy Scouts, British Aid Society, Corozal Cemetery, Crossroads Bible Church, Crossroads Christian Academy, Democrats Abroad, Diablo Spinning Club, Masonic District Grand Lodge, Gamboa Union Church, Girl Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, Panama Historical Society, Hospital Nacional, International Human Development Corporation, Interamerican Women's Club, International School of Panama, Kiwanis Club, La Cresta Sailing Team, Lions Club, Methodist Church, Mormon Church, Mujeres Colonenses en Camino, Navy League, Panama Canal Yacht Club, Panama Canal Quilters, PanamaInfo.com, The Panama News, Panama Relocation Services, Peace Corps, Pedro Miguel Boat Club, Peregrine Fund, Public Affairs Office of the US Embassy, Republicans Abroad, Ronald McDonald Foundation, Abou Saad Shrine, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, St. Mary's Parish Church, Teatro en Circulo, TESOL, Theatre Guild of Ancon, USPA, VFW, Who's New, and Youth with a Mission.

Groups must confirm their table reservations to Maritza Snyder at the US embassy, at 207-7390 or snydermc@state.gov on or before December 10.
