Quite often the photos that appear in the outdoors section were taken in Panama City. We have jungles and indigenous villages right within city limits, but usually this photojournalist doesn't even go that far. The orchid pictures that have appeared in this section more often than not are from the garden that Neal Smith maintains at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's Tupper Center.
