An English Teacher to his student

Wash your faith in silver morning dew.
Get your courage by doing something new.
Be like a sharp, double-bladed knife,
And mug your wishes out of stubborn life.

Meet the sun before it's started to peep.
Kiss your people before they go to sleep.
Keep your balance by always being humble,
But speak with grace, don't fuss and don't mumble.

Feed your eyes with clever observations.
Love arts and sports without reservations.
Don't plunge in rabid hating
But indulge in learning and creating.

Don't look at girls with your tongue out.
Go easy on beer or you'll get stout.
Give a piece of your food to the poor.
Try to make of your life an exciting tour.
Dream of reaching the top of Everest.

Remember, from responsibilities there's no rest.
Remember, fear is the worst guest.
And remember, on Monday you're having an English test.
