Panama's unique geography

Here we see, above, the sun coming up over the Pacific Ocean, and below, the sun going down over the Caribbean Sea. Say what? Sunrise over the water on the Pacific Side and sunset over the water on the Atlantic Side? Yes, above it's morning looking east from Paitilla, away from the canal's south end, and below it's evening looking west from Cristobal, across the canal's north end.
