Doggie Doldrums
Dear Dr. Mutt,
My master took me for a ride in his new car the other
day and, to my dismay, I got car sick. It happened so
fast. One minute I was fine, and the next I was calling
for Ralph all over the dash. I tried to stick my head
out the window, but it was shut tighter than a drum. The
master was so upset that he vowed I shall never ride
again. Why did this happen, Doc? I don’t understand. Is
this normal?
Queasy in Quincy,
Dear
Queasy,
It appears that you suffer from what we in the canine
world call Doggie Motion Syndrome, DMS for short. It is
brought on by movement in enclosed spaces without access
to ram air. Take heart, it happens to the best of us. If
your master had opened the window, he could have
prevented the whole fiasco.
