Lessons in Assertiveness
by Sparky, the Wonder Dog, a/k/a Dr. Sparkus T. Mutt A Rash Act Dear Dr. Mutt, I just moved into this new home, and things were going great until a few days ago. All of a sudden, I’m allergic to everything: grass, cement, pollen, fleas, ticks, mosquitoes. I was okay at the pound, but now I can’t sleep. I don’t bark, and nobody wants to pet me. I am fed up. How can I make it stop? Please help me. My life is a living plague, and I want the itching to end. Desperate in Detroit Dear Desperate, Before you do something rash – no pun intended – you need to consult a vet. Very often, a simple change of diet can do the trick. I’m no scientist, but I know from experience that if we don’t eat the right foods, this affects our stamina and make us prone to every bug on earth. It can even make our fur fall out. So the first thing you must do is convince your master to take you to see a vet. When he comes to feed you, whimper. If he’s a smart and observant human, he’ll catch on and take you for a check up. Meanwhile, find a cool spot – out of the sun and out of the grass. Good luck.
Sparky
