Sailing out of Bocas

If you’re in Bocas del Toro and you’re looking for a
boat to take you out: snorkelling, scuba diving,
fishing, sight seeing, and give you sailing lessons,
perhaps the Naylamp is just what the doctor ordered.
Named --- loosely --- after the legendary ancient Peruvian sailor and
leader Naymlap, the Naylamp is a 41 x 22.4 foot trimaran that
can carry you all around the Bocas del Toro archipelago.
The ship belongs to a pair of self-proclaimed
“navigators and adventurers,” Daniel Ayora and Elena
Markiegi. Ayora has over 20 years sailing experience,
and built the Naylamp himself in 1997.
They have trips that range from a day out to seven days,
and they all include food and drinks (water, wine, rum,
beer, or soda), plus equipment for snorkelling or
fishing and a couple of kayaks. Both your hosts are
accomplished chefs, of which this reporter speaks from
experience.
