If you get around Panama City on foot, the maleantes who steal sewer grates and other pieces of ferrous public property to sell for scrap --- and the white collar criminals who buy from them in order to traffic stolen property on the international market --- have set some dangerous traps for you. If you're a driver, you can really mess up your car driving too close to this particular curb, or over one of the city's many missing sewer caps. And if you work in one of the metro area's hospital emergency rooms, you will see a fair number of broken bones and other injuries resulting from situations like these.
