Doggie Dreams

Dear Dr. Mutt,

My life has always been peaceful, but lately I have had the most horrible dreams. Sometimes the master has forgotten to feed me, and sometimes I’m lost and can’t find my way home. But the worst one is when the dog next door has stolen my bone. When that happens, I wake up angry and ready to attack the cat. I’ve never had such troubled sleep, Doc. What could be causing this? I need help, but most of all I need some sleep.

Dear Groggy,

It sounds to me like your troubles probably stem from your diet. Sometimes drastic changes cause gastronomic nightmares. So if your diet has changed lately, this could be the root of your problem. However, getting your master to change it back may be difficult, but not impossible.

On the other hand, if your diet has not changed lately, you may be suffering from SOSS, Same Old Slop Syndrome, which can bring about any number of psychological disturbances too great to go into depth here.
