The Florida tourist attractions are drawing more visitors from the USA these days, as many Americans who used to go farther afield are afraid to travel abroad because they fear that the international unpopularity of the Iraq War and the Bush administration may put them in the middle of a violent incident abroad. (These fears are way overblown, but they are what you get when fear and loathing of foreigners become staples of political discourse.)

However, due to higher costs, scarcer visas and more frequent customs, immigration or airport security hassles for foreigners who want to visit the United States as tourists, the Florida tourist attractions have been losing a lot of their established Latin American customer base.

Adapting to the new situation and progressing in their development plans, SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida has launched what it calls "the most ambitious killer whale show in the park's history," and the marketing for the new presentation includes a strong Spanish-language component directed at Latin America.

"Believe," a choreographed human and orca water ballet, will open its doors to SeaWorld visitors in Orlando the spring of 2006. The show will also be staged at the SeaWorld parks in San Diego and San Antonio.

"Believe" will include massive three-story sets that incorporate huge video screens. The show was developed with the assistance of Broadway choreographers and songwriters as well as highly specialized animal trainers.

The SeaWorld parks are part of the Busch Entertainment chain of theme parks.
