In the last couple of
issues The Panama News readers have been asked a number of questions about
various things, including quality issues, in our annual readership survey.
Yes, we know that because it's reader-response
the results are not scientifically random, but it's still one of the best
indicators we have. And many of the responses, as well as emails we have
received from time to time, indicate that many readers want to be reminded
by email when a new issue of The Panama News is uploaded. Well, getting
everything uploaded by the theoretical deadline is another, more daunting
task, but getting The Panama News email list back into some semblance of
order and putting out the sort of notices people are asking for is our next
little step forward.
So do you want to be on The Panama News
email list? If so, send an email to
editor@thepanamanews.com asking to be included on it. Shortly thereafter
--- the editor intends --- you will start getting notice of new issues as they
appear.
And many thanks to all of those who
have responded to our annual reader survey and otherwise sent in their
support and suggestions. Getting from where we are to where we ought to be
is an agonizingly slow process, but it is steadily progressing.
(Notice that after this notice appeared
in the last issue, a few spam avalanches closed the email box listed above
for short times, and some requests to get on the email list were probably
