The fruits of Taiwanese aid

All these fruits are maracuya, or as they say it in English, passionfruit. They grow on vines, and you can make all sorts of good things with them. The little ones are the standard Panamanian variety, and the large ones have recently been introduced into Panama by agricultural advisors from Taiwan. The new variety tastes as good and renders much more usable flesh, from which jams, pie fillings and so on can be made, and seed pulp, which is the basis of a popular tropical drink.
