Summit
Gardens, an old Canal Zone institution on the Continental Divide that came into
Panama's possession by way of the Torrijos-Carter Treaties, is now a
Panama City municipal park. The zoo there is not world class, although its
harpy eagle exhibit is noteworthy. However, Summit is home to one of the
world's greatest collections of tropical palm trees. Archive photo by
