Dear Dr. Mutt,

I’m distraught. Today my mistress said I was not very bright because my forehead measures only one human finger’s width and that was why I couldn’t learn basic tasks such as SIT and FETCH. However, I beg to differ. This really annoys me. I’m not dumb. I just choose not to obey. How can I convey this to her?

Obviously, your mistress thinks that your unwillingness to comply coincides with the size of your forehead, in other words, that you are not very bright. So, if it’s important to you that she thinks you’re smart, you will have to play her game. Sit and fetch so she knows you can understand her commands. If not, just eat and be happy and forget about the size of your brain.
