Tom Burbine Thomas Burbine died at home in Littleton, Massachusetts, on August 7th. He was 88 years old. He moved to Panama in 1960 after retiring from the army. He served in the Americal Division during WWII in the Pacific, earning a Bronze Star with a V, and received a Purple Heart with an Oak Leaf Cluster. He served in Italy where he met and married Silvana, his wife of 58 years. He moved to Panama where he had previouly served in the army, initially managing the Balboa Clubhouse and eventually worked as the Internal Security Agent for the Atlantic side. Some may remember Tom for his work with the Little Theater (Damn Yankees, Oklahoma) and The Sweet Adelines Barbershop Quartet. Tom was also active in The Holy Family Church in Margarita. He is survived by his wife Silvana (Fratini); his son Mark and daughter-in-law Susan; his son Anthony and daughter-in-law Mary and grandchildren Christopher and Stephen; as well as his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and two granddogs.
