A VERY SPECIAL HALLOWEEN

AT THE THEATRE GUILD OF ANCON

The Theatre Guild of Ancon will have a staged reading of Oscar Wilde's THE CANTERVILLE GHOST on October 26, 27 and 28. This adaptation was written by Edgardo Molino García, and was originally staged as a full play a the TEATRO ALHAMBRA, and won an Escenas Award for Best Direction for its director, Gabriel Perez Matteo. The Guild's version is a staged reading, directed by Rosario Barrera.

THE CANTERVILLE GHOST is a Victorian tale about Sir Simon of Canterville, doomed to wander until a prophecy is fulfilled and the American Otis family. The family does not believe in ghosts, which of course, offends Sir Simon terribly. All sorts of mischief happens once the ghost pits himself against the Otis twins, William and Henry, leading to some very funny situations. The play stars Winston Johnson as Sir Simon. Also appearing are Joanna De Icaza, Enrique Pareja, Andrés Holder, William Sun, John Carlson, Amit Nathani, Irina Starr and Rosario Barrera.
