Above we see the front (north) side of the Seguro Social lab from whence the medicines that killed at least 30 Panamanians came, and below we have series of photos moving around to the southeast corner of the facility. The precise cause of the poisonings will be debated by lawyers forever, but from the outside there is the appearance that sanitary standards were not maintained around the building and televised videos of a rat nibbling around the outside of the building added to that impression in the public mind down here. But then, to the sorts of people who throw trash by the side of the road despite the threat of dengue fever none of this would likely register as amiss.
