A turtle comes up for some air

An afternoon's stroll through the Parque Natural Metropolitano

Heliconias, which come in several species, are one of

                                   Panama's more common forest flowers

Hmmm --- which side of the tree gets the moss?

Or is that just a temperate zone phenomenon?

Off in the distance, past Clayton's Building 519 and to the left, is the Centennial Bridge

Looking in another direction, we see the Amador Causeway

A well built insect dwelling on a jungle vine

Alas, you have to get here in the morning to see it unfolded

From this lookout over a forested hillside one can sometimes observe monkeys...

On this afternoon, however, the best thing to do was sit on the bench, wait for the

wildlife to lose its inhibitions, and listen to the amazing number of different birds
