Japan lends a hand

Here we have Japanese Ambassador Shuji Shimokoji delivering a check for $32,500 to Carmen Mercedes Solís Moreno of the Hogar Leonístico para Ancianos de Azuero, a home for needy old folks in the Azuero Peninsula. The money will be used to install a small sewage treatment plant for the facility. The home had been using a septic tank that's no longer functional, and the improvement will make life a lot more pleasant for both its residents and the neighbors.
