The Chase

 

Dear Dr. Mutt,

My mistress and I jog around the neighborhood every afternoon. We’re not chained to each other so I get to pretty much roam at will, and I know the area like the back of my paw. Well, yesterday I spied this feline sitting in the middle of the path so I darted after it to clear the way for my mistress. I chased it a good distance, and then it ran up a tree and sat there smirking. I barked for it to come down and fight like a dog, but all it did was hiss back at me. What is it with cats? Where do they get their attitude?

Dear Belligerent,

I agree that cats have an attitude; they are born that way, but I also know first hand that they are superior fighters. Their paws have claws, and they’re quick like lightning. I’m sure you’ve heard the term LUCKY DOG? Well, that’s what you are. The feline was doing you a favor. You don’t want to fight with a feline – EVER!
