Dog Gone!

 

 

Dear Dr. Mutt,

I’m very upset. Last week I took in this homeless cur, more out of pity than necessity. I bought him a collar, a shiny water bowl and gave him his very own house! I even gave him a bath! All he had to do was guard the yard. What more could he want? Free room and board! But when I got home from work this afternoon, he was nowhere to be found. What an ingrate!

Dear Annoyed,

You are a generous and compassionate human and you have every right to be upset, but what can I say? Sometimes the call of the wild is too strong in us and we have to follow our ancestral voices. But please don’t give up on the canine race. There are many of my brothers and sisters out there who could use a helping hand like yours.
