When the Democrats Abroad get together for brunch in Panama...

OK, the Democrats are a political party. It's an association of free individuals that has been around for a long time, with proud and not so proud moments, and it has had its share of members who have been shown in the public spotlight to have feet of clay.

But it's no accident that Martha Stewart is a Democrat, and Kenneth Lay isn't.

Nor is it an accident that the Democrats lead the Republicans in members who have cooked for a living.

The Dems are good cooks. The GOP calls in the caterers.

And so it these were some of the offerings when about three dozen Democrats recently showed up at a La Cresta apartment for a little fundraising brunch.
