Dear Dr. Mutt,

I’m in love, and I am not ashamed to admit it! He is everything a gal dreams of… a husky bark, pointed ears, and paws firmly planted on the ground. What more could I ask for? And he wants to marry me and start a family!

My problem is my master. He is the jealous sort, and my contract is quite clear. I’m not sure he’d allow me to keep my job if I got married, much less if I had other more serious responsibilities like puppies. What can I do, Dr. Mutt? I think I love this guy, and I want to lead a normal dog’s life, but I’m frightened of what may lay ahead.

Take things slowly. Measure your steps and review your contract. Don’t give anything up without a fight, especially not to a guy who paints visions of family felicity. What can he offer you, besides the responsibility of puppies, to ensure you a roof over your head and food in your bowl every day? He may be a canine Casanova so be cautious and be careful!
