In Bocas Town in May...

Panama labor law seminar in English

The Panamanian Ministerio de Trabajo --- Ministry of Labor --- has offered to present a "free" labor law seminar in English in Bocas. They require a minimum of 25 people to sign up and then the Ministerio de Trabajo will set the seminar dates and times. The location is the Casa Cural (Catholic church conference hall on Main Street).

The seminar will be held on three consecutive days, for 3 hours per day. You can sign up in person at the Casa Depot office in the MBE/Sunset Point building, or via email to Cathy Sander at caloahs@yahoo.com

The choices of dates (please state which you prefer) are:

May 16, 17 and 18 or

May 23, 24, and 25

State the times of day that are most convenient for you (ie, 4-7 PM or some other time period).

This seminar is well worth attending, if you:

1. Employ or expect to employ a maid or caretaker or gardener

2. Will be hiring construction workers

3. Expect to go into any kind of business here in Panama
