Get It right Noriega was supported by the Israeli Mossad....I know this for a fact through intimate contacts. OKC bombing WAS a government op, as was '9/11'! These are well documented manufactured false flag events of which the USG has a long and sordid history of perpetrating in order to achieve that plutocratic elitists controlled country's hegemonic goals. Too bad you fell for the Edward Bernays controlled media's BS. You pride yourself on graduating from law school and passing the BAR (British Accreditation Registry). You see, we never were free from England, however, I bet they never taught that in law school or any other school you attended. And I assume you also consider the Constitution an outdated piece of paper desperately in need of revision. And please don't forget who Manuel Noriega's premier business partner was... one GHW Bush! Just like Saddam Hussein, the Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, and the list goes on and on! You're just another mainstream media and government institutionally dumbed-down pawn and dictatorship fodder. Go along to get along and to hell with everything and everyone else. It's too bad a person isn't first trained to think for themselves before they learn how to write! See http://www.infowars.com. Bob Macdonell
Armed citizens: answer to crime To paraphrase a musical lament of yesteryear: Where have all the good people gone gone to the graveyard everyone? killed by the armed criminals the police protect by disarming citizens the criminals attack Could this become the funeral dirge for our great Christian Civilization that our ancestors sacrificed and died for? It very well could in view of the depraved and psychopathic efforts of our bureaucratic de-facto commissars and their police lackeys to disarm and persecute citizens who exercise their God-given right to own and bear firearms to protect themselves and families. The result is our reduction to disarmed ‘sheeple’ blindly marching toward the slaughterhouse of the planned Police State. The strategy apparently being employed by our party-line political bosses and police sycophants is to deliberately release criminals into our neighborhoods to create an ever escalating crime rate to justify ever increasing taxation for ever expanding bureaucratic empires to impose their will, not on the perverted criminal element they created, but on us as the disarmed ’citizens’ of their planned New World Order. The glaring example is the forcible government introduction into our neighborhoods of perverted and sexual predators to prey on our children and others as news reports continually indicate. The solution obviously is life in prison for the perpetrators and encouraging citizens to routinely arm themselves and violent crime will drop dramatically instead of escalating as it now is under our present leaders apparently conspiring to bring about empire building, through escalating crime, who care nothing about human life or suffering. We should see http://www.jbs.org (search: gun control) and demand legal constitutional protection of our self-protection gun rights instead of mindless party line voting protecting their fat paychecks. What to do about Noriega? Handcuff Noriega hanging from the basketball rims in La Modelo Prison in Panama City (just as he ordered done to countless, innocent Panamanians). The reason the USA does not want him speaking freely in Panama is that Noriega knows way too much about: · Iran / Contra · School of the Americas at Fort Benning Georgia · CIA and Bush Sr. Omar Torrijos Herrera was as much a tyrant as Noriega. However he was much better at disguising his criminal acts. Bring to light the atrocities by the two of them Noriega and Torrijos so that the isthmus can heal and be restored to glory. Unfortunately the USA backed both of these sub human idiots that caused much unnecessary suffering. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama for a number of years. The Panamanians are a resilient and wonderful people who deserve freedom and justice. name withheld
Minimum wage thoughts I thought your editorial which contained a discussion of ethical employers (and 15 percent tips) was thoughtful and on-point. The complaint I hear most is from some expats who hire Panamanians for the minimum legal wage (while they provide all the extra things their workers need, like money for prescriptions that their workers can't afford, or school uniforms for their workers children) then feel like their workers don't appreciate them. Well --- No! You know what, I always wanted to work for my family and provide for their needs. I would not feel very grateful to wash someones dirty underwear, or clean up their messes, or work to beautify their places, only to have to resort to begging just to buy my children a uniform or medicine. Why not pay them a decent wage to begin with so they can afford the dignity to care for their family in the first place. But see, that's not what this is all about, work, fair wages, etc. It's about power over another human being. Its about being able to be the big savior. "I pay the legal wage," they cry! "I even paid for little Rosita's school uniforms and bought her school supplies." "I'm a hero! I'm a savior! Without me, this country would suck wind!" It is an imperialistic and degrading attitude. Well, you know what, I'm sick of hearing that, and all the other rhetoric that goes with it. Pay people a decent wage so they have the dignity to buy their own kids a pencil or pair of shoes! Who do these people think they are? I can safely guess that there are very few expats here who decide to hire domestics that could not afford to pay a decent wage. I wonder how many of those who stringently stick to the "legal minimum" ever needed, or employed domestics in their home country, but do so now with an entitlement-type attitude. So, for all of you who year, after year, employ other human beings for the "legal minimum" wage, I say: Keep your caged birds, and your domestic slaves, and when, time after time you cannot figure out why you continue to pay, and pay, and pay, and run through one worker after another, even after you have so graciously gone with them to the pharmacy to purchase them their medicine like a hero and loaned them money for their rent, and they still shit on you... think of this.... everyone is a human being and wants to be treated like one. A different perspective Let me start by saying I really enjoy The Panama News publication and have read it religiously for many years, when it was in hard-copy and since, on the internet. I have even tried to contribute from time to time with travel photos. Politically, I don’t agree with your liberal viewpoints and I’m often thoroughly disgusted with your standard liberal “blame America first” attitude. What disgusts me even more are those that direct personal attacks at you. I may not like what you have to say, politically, but I will defend your right to say it, no matter how misguided. With that being said, I would like to do something that will frighten you and your fellow liberals. I’m going to throw some history and facts at you. Facts that are public record and just simply cannot be disputed. I’m sorry, I know that’s not playing fair with you guys. Eric, there are statements you made in your editorial in the last issue that I would like to address. As I’m sure that I cannot change the entrenched liberal opinion that the US is the anti-Christ and that George Bush has 666 tattooed somewhere on his person and that no matter what has occurred in the world America deserved it and it was almost certainly Bush’s fault, I will just address statements not supported by any facts, on your part. Nothing like a little sprinkling of facts to inject some truth into your accusations. In your editorial you stated: · “Consider that the United States isn’t getting along very well with many of its traditional closest allies. George W. Bush is lagging behind Osama bin Laden in public approval ratings among the world’s more than one billion Muslims.” To begin, Eric, you are absolutely correct about Osama bin Laden’s popularity. A majority of the world’s one billion Muslims approve of Osama bin Laden. Thus, they support the killing of innocents, through terrorism. Eric, you are spot on with your assessment. (I know you meant that as a slap at the US President, but when you’re right, you’re right). The majority of Muslims do approve of the senseless slaughter of innocent men, women and children in the US, Madrid, London, Bali, Egypt and wherever else they are able to kill defenseless “infidels.” (It almost seems as they hate more than just Americans). · “The United States isn’t getting along very well with many of its traditional closest allies.” I want to establish that Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia are not American Allies. With those out of the way let’s look at our true “closest” allies, as you call them. Germany --- Anti-American Gerhard Schroeder was defeated in a land-slide election by pro-American Angela Merkel in 2005. Canada --- Conservative Party leader and pro-American Stephen Harper was elected prime minister in 2006. Australia --- Despite all the attempts by the New York Times to convince the world that Australians were upset that he supported the Iraq war, Prime Minister John Howard, conservative and pro-American was reelected to a historic third term. Great Britain --- Soon pro-American Tony Blair will be replaced by pro-American Gordon Brown. France --- Sarkozy the American, as he is known in France won a decisive victory as the new President of France, replacing the pro-Muslim, anti-American Chirac. How did Sarkozy win so handily? Sarkozy recognizes the threat Muslims pose. He realizes that no matter what the apologists for Islam say, the Muslim goal is the senseless murder of all infidels. Sarkozy explained his position on Muslim immigrants in France, saying: “ Nobody has to, I repeat, live in France. But when you live in France, you respect its rules. That is to say that you are not a polygamist. …One doesn’t practice female genital mutilation on one’s daughters, one doesn’t slit the throat of the sheep, and one respects the republican rules.” The people of France agreed and have spoken. Do you liberals see a pattern developing here? I didn’t think so. Let me point it out to you. The civilized world is beginning to wake up and realize the threat Muslims pose to the rest of the world. They realize there is nothing we infidels can do or say that will prevent these lunatics from killing us. Just ask an old ally of ours, Spain. Spain’s national pride is now tarnished for the rest of history. They will forever be remembered as the country that capitulated as a result of the 2004 terrorist bombings. As you can see, all over the civilized world, voters are removing terrorist sympathizers and apologists out of office and electing leaders that support George Bush the sworn enemy of Islamic fascism. There are now only two organizations on Earth that do not take the threat of Islamic fascism seriously. They are the Democratic Party and the American left-leaning media. For God’s sake, even France gets it. I’m sure that those liberals who read this piece will call me some kind of nut, or racist and that’s ok. What I really am is someone that realizes no matter what I say or do there is someone that exists in this world that wants to kill me, my children, my grandchildren, you, your children and your grandchildren. Among the differences between you and I is that my head is not stuck in the sand and I will defend your family as I defend my own while you sit by and make excuses for a religion that calls for the destruction of the people you love the most. Let’s just hope we can continue to fight them in Afghanistan and Iraq or any other place where there are radical Muslims and not in my granddaughter’s playground. As most Americans now realize, or are in the process of realizing, there is but one clear and present danger to the United States of America. That danger is a treasonous American Congress controlled by Liberals and several repugnant Republicans who just don’t get it. Gary Johnson Vicenza, Italy Editor's note: Although some polls have shown Osama bin Laden with a majority positive approval rating in some Muslim countries (most alarmingly Pakistan), and although good polling is difficult in countries with weak or absent democratic traditions and about a subject that can be dangerous to discuss, it appears that while Osama bin Laden has a higher approval rating than George W. Bush among the world's more than one billion Muslims, in fact the majority of Muslims disapprove of both Osama bin Laden and George W. Bush. As in something on the order of 70 percent of Muslims disliking bin Laden but some 80 percent disliking Bush. And who is "pro" or "anti" American is a matter of perspective. Yes, the conservatives continued their hold on the French presidency, and replaced the Social Democrats in Germany and the Liberals in Canada. I do not, however, see any of these countries' governments changing policies about the Iraq War, let alone sending troops to Iraq. Polls consistently show that most Western Europeans, most Canadians and most Latin Americans think that the Iraq War is an exercise in lunacy or worse. This, however, is not the same thing as saying that the people who believe this hate Americans.
